The RouteLoops iPhone app!

RouteLoops now has an iPhone app! Learn about it here. Download it. Use it. Have fun!

When you open up the RouteLoops app, the first thing you'll see is the splash screen, that is, this: There are two main ways to use the RouteLoops mobile app.
  1. Import a route created at www.RouteLoops.com
  2. Create a new route using the mobile app itself.
Either way, you'll get a map like this when you are done!

Importing a route

When routes are created at www.RouteLoops.com, the route can be saved by creating a permalink. (See the buttons at the top of the web page.) These saved routes can be viewed on the mobile app by following this procedure.
  1. You need to get the permalink onto your mobile phone. One way to do this is to copy it and send it to yourself in an email.
  2. Open the RouteLoops mobile app.
  3. After the splash screen, the first thing you will see is the main page ("Routes"). On this page you will see a window called "Load Route from Permalink". Paste the permalink into the window (where it initially says "Enter Permalink here...").
  4. Touch the "Load Route from Permalink" button.
  5. The route will appear on the screen.
